We recently stayed at a charming hotel in the Scottish Highlands. The location was absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. We also enjoyed exploring the walled garden on the property. it was a wonderful experience.
The lack of air conditioning, which made the room quite warm during our stay.

scenery
The decor was about 100 years out of date or 50, the style was very odd to place. I know it was meant to be old fashioned but that was rather strange. All the stuffed animals was rather offputting after seing all the wildlife in its natural habitat alive, for that reason i wouldnt stay again. Also website was rather misleading with regards to massage/treatments.

Kinloch House was beautiful, very relaxing, the staff was fantastic and the food was excellent. The setting is magnificent.
The dinner menu is "fixed price" with several courses and limited choices. If you are a picky eater, you might not like what is offered. Also, it is awesomely expensive.

Very relaxing - service fantastic - food excellent - room spacious, towels fluffy
Hairdryer was poor quality - not expected for a 5 star, and shower design meant you had to hold the showerhead all the time whilst showering

Kinloch House Hotel ticked all the boxes for us. We arrived at almost 9pm after a 470 mile journey and they offered to still serve dinner. They took our bags to our room, parked our car and generally settled us so we could immediately relax. I hope very much to return to this hotel. It was 10 times better than the one our friends had booked us into the following day just 8 miles away.
If I had one criticism it was the speed with which they removed a glass or plate - one had hardly finished before it was whisked away.

My First visit and I was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, I was immediately upgraded to a spacious room with a large bathroom. The room had a fan that provided a cool breeze during the hot days. The hotel had a charming ambiance with well-proportioned rooms filled with antiques and paintings. The menu changed every night and the food was faultless. It felt like staying in a kindly friend's house.

We like the scenic views, the attractive grounds and the overall setting. We like the highland cattle and the paths leading up to the old orchard ... and that lovely walled garden - needs a tidy up but still wonderful! The log fires, even in August, make a world of difference - the sign of an operator who understands customers. Why don't other operators understand that? We also like the restaurant: the service is friendly, courteous and efficient; the food is excellent - we struggle to mention anywhere quite as good. Just one small point - think pink lupins were wilting a bit on the final day - fresh flowers are good but you have to check them.
Our only adverse comment complaint is that evening meals were more expensive than we had realized. We realize that canapes and petit fours don't come free .... but we like to know what we're paying before the we get the bill. Is that our fault for not asking? Or do you feel you're addressing a market with unlimited cash? Is there not a requirement to 'display' prices, albeit discreetly?

Very disappointed with the room, at the back ot the hotel , stained bathroom ceiling from previous leak, and down a long corridor with ceiling paper cracked and off in places.
Very disappointed with the room which was at the back of the hotel, stained bathroom ceiling from a preious leak. Had to get to room down a long corridor with paper coming off the ceiling in places. This room cost £265.00 a night with just breakfast, complained , but would not reduce room rate , gave us complimentary dinner instead, did we get a bad room because we booked with booking .com ?

We stayed at Kinloch House for a night and fell in love with its traditional Scottish charm. The furnishings were stunning, with beautiful panelling and portraits of the head staff. The staff were professional and attentive, going above and beyond to anticipate our needs. The views of the rolling farmland and Highland cattle were a joy to behold. The beds and linen were comfortable, and the rooms spacious. The 3-course dinner, though pricey, was worth every penny for the freshly cooked local produce. The well-maintained roads made for a fun drive. We can't wait to come back!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, with welcoming staff and comfortable public rooms. the surroundings were beautiful and the food was excellent. the service in the dining room was top-notch, with attentive staff who knew our room number without asking. the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, offering lovely views across the hills. the evening meal showcased fresh ingredients, such as a starter of fresh crab. we found the hotel to be a relaxing and peaceful retreat.
There were a couple of areas in need of maintenance, such as a water-stained ceiling in the dining room.

The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful, especially the barman and waitress with plaits. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, with delicious food. The location of the hotel is beautiful, providing stunning views of the countryside. The facilities bring you back in time and the vintage feel of the lobby adds to the charm. The spacious and expensively furnished rooms are a treat. The log fires on cool evenings create a cozy atmosphere.
Cannot find any fault.
